FAQs

What areas of the UK do we service?

At The Door Line, we service the whole of the UK.

There are minimum order levels that apply to our fitting service, these are:

  • A minimum of 4 doors in Yorkshire
  • A minimum of 8 doors outside of Yorkshire

For our purposes, Yorkshire is treated as including the following postcodes ONLY:

BD – Bradford
DN – Doncaster
HD – Huddersfield
HG – Harrogate
HX – Halifax
LS – Leeds
S – Sheffield
WF – Wakefield
YO – York

Any postcodes outside of this range are treated as being outside of Yorkshire.

We also offer a pre-order measurement service, available to our customers based in the same range of Yorkshire postcodes, which is charged at £95.

NB: Fitting and delivery costs are calculated on a per order basis when you place your order.

How long will my doors take to be delivered once I place an order?

At The Door Line, we do everything possible to deliver your new doors to you as soon as possible.

Our doors are usually delivered 3-10 days after you have placed your order, depending on where you are located within the UK.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is charged at £55 inc. VAT.

How long does the installation take to be completed?

Installations will usually be completed within 1-2 days.

In the rare case that the installation cannot be completed in this time frame, due to missing hardware, for example, we will discuss with you the best date and time for the installation team to return to complete the work.

How much does installation cost?

Installation is charged at £100 inc. VAT, per door or lining. or £200 inc. VAT for any fire resistant products.

Can I cancel an order if I have changed my mind?

You have 14-days from the day you receive your goods in which you can cancel your order.

If your doors have not yet been shipped, then we will cancel your order and refund your money, in full, within 7-days.

If your order has already been shipped, then the items will need to be returned to us, at your own expense. Once we receive your returned items and the condition of the items has been checked, we will refund your money, in full, less the delivery costs, within 7-days.

Charges may be applied if any of the items are damaged or have been removed from the original packaging.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations on the following order types:

(a) bespoke or made-to-measure goods;
(b) goods altered or decorated at your request;
(c) goods fitted by you or your contractor and later found to be damaged;
(d) goods made to your specification or personalised;
(e) fitted packages with a signed agreement;
(f) bespoke joinery products as part of a fitted package.

If any items are deemed to be faulty then please get in touch with us and we will arrange for the collection and replacement of the faulty items, or a full refund, whichever you would prefer.

Please be aware that, if upon receipt of the returned items they are not found to be faulty, you will be charged for the cost of the collection and delivery of the items.

What can I do if any of my items have arrived damaged?

If any items are deemed to be faulty then please get in touch with us and we will arrange for the collection and replacement of the faulty items, or a full refund, whichever you would prefer.

Please be aware that, if upon receipt of the returned items they are not found to be faulty, you will be charged for the cost of the collection and delivery of the items.

What happens if I am not in when the doors are delivered?

Due to both the size and value of the items, we are unfortunately not able to leave them with a neighbour.

We will give you ample notice of the date and time slot for delivery, so it is very important that someone is available in your home to receive the items.

Please be aware that missed deliveries will be charged, and there will be an additional charge for rearranging delivery.

Can you supply bespoke, made-to-measure doors?

Absolutely!

You can either supply us with the measurements you have taken yourself, have them measured by a local professional and provide us with those measurements, or, for our local customers we also offer a pre-order measurement service, which is charged at £95.

Please be aware that the measurement service is only available to customers located within the following postcode areas:

Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellation of bespoke or made-to-measure goods, as they will have been made to your exact specifications. It is therefore imperative that your measurements are accurate.

How does the pre-order measurement service work?

What days do the fitters work?

Our fitters are available Monday to Friday.

Once you place your order, we will speak to our fitters nearest to you to check their availability. We will then be in touch to offer you a few options of dates and times, so that you can pick the one that best suits you.

Can I choose the date and time of the installation?

Can I choose the handles, hinges, and other fixtures and fittings separately from the doors?

Of course!

You can choose any accessories you like, so long as they are compatible with your chosen doors.

A selection of recommended compatible accessories will be available on the product page for each of our doors.

Please note, Industrial-style doors, such as the Soho, must be paired with Manhattan hardware due to the narrow stiles and the depth of the glazing within the door.
